For this task, you start creating a "Course Map" that will guide the development of your blended course. You will revising and continuing to build out the Course Map in the coming weeks as an iterative process; however, if you are working with a course you have taught many times before, you may be able to complete it quite easily.
Using the Course Map template linked below, fill in the first three foundational elements of the course:
Course Description: It is likely that your course description is already well defined.
Course Goals: What are the overarching goals of your course?
Course Objectives: How will your students achieve your stated course goals?
Use the course map template linked below to fill in the above three components (or you can create your own template if you find that this one does not fit your course needs – it is completely up to you). The sample course map will assist you in visualizing how you can design your own. Note how the above elements relate to the structure in the sample provided.
This sample map was created using a tool called LucidChart, but you can easily create it in Microsoft Word (as seen in the Template). If you would like to use LucidChart for your map, let me know and I will send you instructions on how to get an account.
Can't change a rubric once you've started using it.
